So I was strolling through this primate rescue center near Plettenberg Bay, South Africa, and I came across this lar gibbon. Let me tell you, this gibbon looked like it had just binge-watched a season of a really sad TV show. I mean, the poor thing was sitting there with the most dramatic expression on its face, like it had just lost its favorite banana or something. I tried cracking a joke to cheer it up, but it just gave me this look like "really, dude?" It was like the gibbon version of Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh. I half-expected it to start moping around and reciting gloomy poetry. Who knew gibbons could be so relatable? I guess we all have our bad days, even our furry friends in the animal kingdom.
